This statement is ignorant. Those advocating aren't making money. They make memes to spread awareness. and thus bring in more readership with like minded individuals. This will create a larger voice and community.

The owner is the consumer.

Oh...oh...ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. You know what I did today? I just signed my name to financial aid to become $74,000 in debt for college to become a graphic designer. Yesterday though I had a panic attack thinking about all that money that I was going to owe. My financial aid adviser talked me off the ledge. This means I will be busting my ass for years to get out of debt. How am I going to get out of debt? By using my skills that I paid for to create "images". How is stealing my work going to be a compliment? It's theft. Sharing is caring but stealing is illegal.

I have had everything from my blog name to my written works, to my photographs stolen off my website. It's beyond defeating. I didn't have a fancy college education. I felt/was helpless. I then began to value what I did as nothing. For the longest time bloggers were told that "hotlinking" was frowned on but not illegal. Not anymore I didn't share my life in order for it to be stolen. This article that Jill wrote here as really made me see my value. I'm not helpless anymore.

How many times has the Mona Lisa been stolen? How many times have counterfeits popped up? Museums set up galleries in order to advocate an artists work. What if the thief said, "You should take it as a compliment."? Is the artwork of Da Vinci more valuable than another's? The value is placed on the art by the owner not the thief. The thief, obviously, didn't believe it was worth the price...or didn't want to pay for it but wanted it for his own.

I'm in the same boat as you momma. Madeline is afraid of the toilet. Before we got into a hardcore potty training mode she would tell me any time she had a wet or poopy diaper. She'd even go get a new diaper and wipes. After we started it...now she'll sit in her poo until she is raw. This means that we have to check her to make sure she isn't sitting in it. I've changed to just asking her...now her comfort level is coming back. I guess it's sort of child led for us. We took the same stand on her taking a bath. Instead now she takes a shower because she was afraid of the drain. We made it her choice. Yes at times it was a dry shampoo. What about getting him an adult porta potty? Maybe pimp it out with decorations. That way he doesn't have to deal with drains or falling in.

That's the real question isn't it? I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who stays up staring into space worrying if everything I'm doing is completely wrong. Personally, I think you are doing an awesome job. He seems to be very content from what you say. I think a content child is a happy child.

*choir of angels singing* Jo..you have such a gift for writing. This is exactly where I'm at. Also? My child got out of the house a few days ago. I guess she didn't read how wandering is a myth.
