I was in the Corps from 1958 to 1964. Luckily most in my Battery stayed intact through those years. It was on a Med cruise, and after much drinking on shore, that our very decorated, and beloved, gunny hit on a young corporal. It was a shock to all of us, but it never changed our atittude or respect for the man. Bottom line - sexual oriantation should be kept private. It need not be advertised. I agree with the Commandant.
