Excellent article Thom. We have these guys down here in South Eastern Ohio selling trinkets outside Walmart. When you ask them where they are from and they give you some fake address. I've reported these guys time and time again.. They're called Veterans 1st USA Inc. located in Zanesville, Ohio. So these articles are very important.
I would be the first guy to tell you that the VA Hospital here is number 1 in medical treatment. It has the personality of dispassionate member of society. Referring to Veterans as, another one, another customer, and handing out very impersonal numbers. Now remind you the Medical Staff is just following orders. The administration of VA hospitals suffers greatly. I was asked what they could do to improve the relationship between Veterans and Administration. I said put a desk out front and welcome every Veteran to his or her VA Hospital. How can we help you? Where do you need to go? Let other Veterans spread the word about what a good hospital you have or don't have.
Dear Larry, Sorry you were unable to continue. Also thank you for the good fight and I look forward to the new owners continuing your good work.
Dear Larry, It has been my distinct pleasure to read and take advice from your webpage. Being a grassrooter I know how difficult things can be, especially when illness attacks. Here's hoping the best for you and hopefully you can make a comeback......"WE NEED YOU". Thank you for your service and to those many Vets you have helped that had no idea of who you are.

Yeah I know a couple of the Vietnam Vets running the VFW in our state. So I have taken a long look. Too much politics for me.
I don't know why anyone would be surprised by this. The VFW would not even let us join their group back in the 70's.
Damn I thought the first series was bad. This one is truly scary. Their has to be a way of combating this influence the VA is pushing on the Vets and families that are already paying the daily price without the VA being involved. Maybe a march or some other campaign to let our political leaders know we disagree with the VA on this issue.
Excellent article Jim and very timely. The VA is such a truly huge bureaucratic organization that most people are lost instantly. Someone with the know how needs to organize a program to stop the craziness inside the VA. I love our local hospital and have worked many years lobbying for funding, and have among others been successful. It irks me to watch the system batter the Veterans needing help. Thank you Jim for your work. I t has proven to be very effective. Like I said I have printed your articles and letters and made copies and post them on the bulletin boards at our local hospital. I have in the past found them to be very effective. Again my thanks to you and of course to VA WatchDog.
Any word out there is better than no word out there. Put it on Facebook and Digg and other news agencies. Like Raw Story and Newsvine. I'll be glad to forward it. I hope it makes a difference. Thanks for printing it Larry.
Kind of like having your cake and eating it too, from a VA perspective.
