I certainly will. I honor and respect your comment. However my brothers kids goes to the Wabeno school district wear the Potowatami are prominent. He has told me that his son has been discriminated against because he isn't of full Native American decent. (He has some Potowatomi) In recent years I haven't heard anything come from the Natives around this area. Everytime it's come up they haven't really spoken out about schools and Mascots. Like the Oneidas The Menomonee The Potowatomi and so on. I have great respect for the Native American culture. But there is no reason that something should be banned because one person is not understanding what the point of the Mascot is. The point is that why didn't Marsha speak up while she was in tenure at the school if she felt this way. Why only now after retirement does this issue come up when it appears at the moment that she is the only one worried about it. There seems to be some sort of motive here. Well what ever the case may be I can only speculate. To be honest there is bigger things going on in this world and we should be worried more about what is going on with the recession and people losing jobs and the like. There are many towns around here in Wis with Native American names. Is that going to start becoming an issue? Because to be quite frank if we start with the schools and their mascots the next thing to come is towns that have Native American names. Maybe or maybe not but you never know.

I agree with this. I haven't heard one Native American complain about mascots. I think it's just one more thing to complain about, As a person with relatives that reside in Kewaunee I find it unbelievable that a person whom isn't even Native American complain about the mascot about the school she worked at.
There is absolutely no reason to ban or t ake away something that's been around for over 70 some years. Especially when an Indian hasn't complained about it. One other thing. The race card is really getting sickening. Chill out let the kids enjoy an awesome tradition and leave them alone. Native Americans have brought awesome things to this wonderful country. Oh and to say that people that support keeping the mascots are racists, speak for yourself. Because it's just the opposite. Native Americans rock! Have a nice day.

oh my Lord!! All 5 of my children have bites all over them. They aren't kidding when they say the Mosquitoes are coming!!!! Glad I stocked up on bug spray.

Oi! Every time I step outside I can feel the humidity settle on my body. People need to be careful. Drink plenty of fluids and try not to over do it.
