I skipped the whole NES thing. I went straight from the Atari 2600 to the Sega Genesis, actually my gaming machine between the two was a Commodore 64. Sounds like I didn't miss much. I don't remember too many hardware problems with any of my systems.

She was attempting to learn while we were dating. She even tried in the BMW until the clutch stunk too bad to continue. I thought there was hope. I was wrong.

Personally, my 1996 Z-28 convertible. I got married in March, by August I had to trade in my 1994 Corvette 6-speed coupe on a new Trailblazer as a bribe for my wife to go back to work full time (LONG story). I got her 1999 Civic coupe automatic. I promptly sold it and got the Camaro (for less than $800 more than I sold the Civic for). It had the same LT-1 as the Vette, but with an automatic. The automatic made the wife happy, she could drive it. I quickly learned that there is a world of difference in build quality between a Chevrolet Corvette and a Chevrolet Camaro. I also learned I hated an automatic in any sort of sporty car. The Camaro had the infamous LT-1 water pump/ignition issues, it had to have the transmission replaced, mice ate the wiring harness (not the cars fault), the cowl shake got to unbelievable levels, and by the time I got rid of it the rear axle had developed a horrible growl. I ended up trading the car for a 1987 BMW E30 325 4-door 5-speed and cash.

I'm still trying to figure out if it makes a difference when you have a pair of sisters in one family that marry a pair of brothers from another family. That's the case for one set of my grandparents. My dad has a double cousin.

I remember 15 years ago or so when they just had 6" thick catalogs, that seemed to be hard to come by. I was lucky to get one three or four editions old.

They seem to be popular with the import crowd. I've seen one in a Datsun 510. Saw a Quad 4 in a MGB once too.

I always thought kerosene was closer to diesel than gas. I guess it is sort of in between.

Most of the online sources list world population in 1500 at 400-500 million. The math still works out, just the pop. for 1500 is wrong.
