Actually this happened to me recently at Target. The baby I saw (about 2 months old) looked exactly like and older version of Eddie Murphy sans mustache. It REALLY freaked me out.

does it work? I was thinking of getting one before Liam was born, but Wendy had a different brand that never worked. I have read good things about the Angelcare. I need sleep!

Glad Betty is feeling better!!
ugh, Liam is sleeping on his face, as you saw on my Facebook. We put in a breathable bumper, so that he doesn't get caught in the rungs, but he can still smash his face against the side of the crib to his heart's content and be able to breathe. My Pediatrician and EVERYONE tells me it is fine that he is sleeping on his tummy now that he can roll, but he can't roll back to his back yet. When we put him down for the night he immediately rolls to his tummy and gets mad if we roll him back.
I am SO close to buying an angelcare monitor, so I will know if he stops breathing, but I am trying not to be overly paranoid. I guess I'll just have to deal with some more sleepless nights.

We pretty much split everything equally when JD is home. I always have to do the breastfeeding, of course, but we take turns with diapers, bottles, and putting Liam down for bed and naps and JD even cooks dinner when I have had a rough day with the baby. He also always gives Liam his bath and gets him into his PJ's, so they can have some quality time together each day.
When we were on "Vacation" over the holidays it wasn't REALLY a vacation, because we were at my parent's house (Think 14 people in a 3 bedroom house). I got spoiled, though, because I pretty much tended to the feedings and then handed Liam over to JD to do everything else, so I could visit with my family. There was TONS of bonding time for daddy and baby. I was sad to see JD go back to work today:)

you can come hang out with me! Liam is getting to the age where I am not terrified to take him out. I keep meaning to go to the mommy and me movie at the Americana (if they ever play anything I like).
I thought about joining a mommy group, but I am afraid of other mothers, so the thought of paying a fee just for them to sit around and judge my parenting skills irks me. Maybe we can start one with all the new mommies we know.

Sadly, Ernessa, I don't even sew up holes in my clothing, or sew buttons back on. They are either worn as-is, or I pull the item out of the closet every once in awhile, realize there is a hole, or missing button, and put said item back thinking to myself that someday I will mend it. I keep telling myself that I will go through my entire wardrobe someday and mend everything. At this point I need to just get rid of all of it and start over, because it's never gonna fit again!

I LOVE that! Make me one, too!
As a crafter/artist, I would have to say as long as it is for your own use and you aren't making them to sell, then it is A-OK.

I've never thought it was strange when my friends had photos of their kids as their profile picture, even back when I was single, bitter and on Myspace:) I DO think it is odd when I look at the profile of old friends from high school or college and they ONLY have photos of their kids and not a single one of them. I figure they must have gotten really old and/or fat.
I say go with the Betty photo! I generally change mine every couple weeks, so if I put one up of just Liam, It will probably be one of me next time.
I love that the husband gets no share in the profile photo, now:)

I am loving "Drop Dead Diva" on Lifetime. I think it premiered over the summer. I caught up by watching full episodes online. It is one of those quirky shows that normally gets cancelled in a heartbeat on network TV

I have not seen London theatre, but I am confused, because NYC has two TKTS booths (one used to be in the WTC) and tickets are half-priced. I guess it is just for the DAY of, though and not advanced.
You MUST see "Rock of Ages". It started here in LA and I saw it the night I met JD. I would love to see what changes they have made to it, now that it is on Broadway, but it was cool, because we sat at a little table and ate and drank!
