Much of your own arguments are based on hearsay. It serves no purpose to get into a pissing match with the author of these articles. Certainly chime in with your own experience but to argue is a waste of your effort.

That Linux is mostly a failure is also incorrect. While in the consumer space, you may have an argument, Big Business has accepted and deployed RHEL and others in very large numbers. To be accepted at the Enterprise level speaks volumes for the platform. Obviously a business decision to deploy RHEL over Solaris or HP-UX may be more financial than technical, the fact is that if that platform were not a capable one, it would not be on the list of options to begin with.
