Love: everything that brings it that much closer to being a full fledged computer with no compromises

Hate: the remaining missing items that require compromises and funky workflows

Can't stand: my iPad is now undeniably and noticeably sluggish when it never was prior

Did you d/l the latest HP driver update? It appeared in software update for me only a couple days ago. Maybe that's required somehow?

This makes me a little nuts for ipadalone.com. I'm not a heavy poster but the app is awful. I've actually taken to usingthe wordpress site. No perfect but better than the app on the iPad. Perhaps after 4.2 drops someone will roll out something more useful

I agree with much of what you wrote. However, i think it is far from a foregone conclusion that iPad2 will have two cameras. In fact, I think it far more likely that it will have only one - front facing, for Facetime.

Holding up the iPad to snap a pic with a rear camera simply feels.........awful. Just try :)

Ive not tried this app but I agree that's an amazing feature. The built in apps in which I type most (mail and safari) seem sort of AI based in this regard. They always seem to assume you want to go to the beginning of one word, or the end of another. It's pretty bad in those instances when you want to land in the middle of a given word...

I have the Portenzo equivalent in leather and it's amazing. Uses the elastic band closure like a journal. There's a third company that makes this type of case as well. They all seem to use the exact same bamboo innards with the little corner bumper. I suspect they use the same (high quality) supplier...

I too am pretty psyched about these updates. All that said, iDisk needs a big rework to be "the file system". The kind of things that goodreader can do: create folders, move them (and files) around, etc. THAT will make the circle complete :)

Generally agree that different cases have very different usage cases. I use mine naked but for a gelaskin around the house, and use a water field padded sleeve in my go bag.

But i could see wanting something a little more substantial around the house, like the Vaja. But then it wouldnt fit so nicely in the water field sleeve, if at all. So you'd wind up having to put it on and take it off each time. Hmmm...
