I totally agree. So much evo-psycho reports that I have seen seem to just be reinforcing a retrograde perception of humanity that comes straight from the 1950's.
Satoshi Kanazawa of the London School of Economics is a prime example of this kind of nonsense. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satoshi_Kanazawa

We've got a word for this up in Scotland. "Mince". Evo-psycho mince in this case. I mean, come on!

“We see similar behaviour in chimpanzees. For example, the males continuously monitor the borders of their territory. If a female from another group comes along, she may be persuaded to emigrate to his group. When a male strays too far, however, he is likely to be brutally beaten and possibly killed.”

Firstly, we're not chimps. Secondly, Bonobo.

Why is it that every time I see some reporting of evo-psycho all it is doing is reinforcing outmoded, and often bigoted, assumptions about 'human nature'? White women are 'objectively' more attractive than black women etc etc.

"females have evolved a response to threats from male outsiders where they ‘tend and befriend’ as a way of protecting their offspring, suggests the study."

Que? Absurd.

Why is Evo-psycho taken seriously? It's a joke discipline based around the principle of 'making shit up'.

It's a crying shame that the agricultural activity is destroying this site. I think I'm correct in saying that scheduling doesn't affect agricultural activity? Maybe there should be a push to get the state to purchase this land?

"The Great Pyramid is, to this day, consistently portrayed as having been built using slave labor, sticks and dolorite stones to construct it."

Um, no its not. The Pyramids were constructed by a skilled force of Egyptian workers. Folk have excavated their village and everything. In fact it is during the building of the Necropolis at Deir-el-Medina that we have records of the first ever strike.

Also the pyramids were constructed over a period of around 2,000 years which is a hell of a long time to perfect your techniques.
