That said, the iPhone one is a bit smart and can push out additional juice if an iPhone is plugged into it. Your iPhone will actually charge faster off the wall than off many computer USB ports as a result. Macs might be an exception to this because I hear their USB ports will also exceed the USB specifications if an Apple device is detected.

I'm on 4.0.1 with my iPhone 4 and baseband 01.59.00. I have been saving all my SHSHs all along. My phone is not unlocked (I'm on AT&T, so I don't really care) but I do need to be JB. I'm getting really sick of the proximity sensor issue so I'd like to upgrade to 4.1.
What's the best way to do so without losing the possibility to unlock in the future? I'm in Windows and do not have access to a Mac.
Thanks for any help. I'm lost. :)

But it'll be much nicer to actually fix the real issue. :)

AFAIK by using the above link, you can literally check into any location you wish regardless of what your friends are doing (i.e. go check in at the south pole if you want right now). I used to use that before I got a smartphone to check in from home at a location I had been at earlier in the day. I'm not sure if they run your IP address through a geolocation service or not though, but even if they do a proxy would fix that.
