I don't remember whether or not you've read the Agency series by YS Lee but that's my favorite YA historical romance.

Oooh, I do love Ibbotson novels because there is just something magical about her writing style. I'm so in love with her way with words. I haven't read your top two favorites though. I had my issues with Countess/Heiress and I didn't enjoy them as much as I wanted to... but I am still determined to read the rest of her books :)

I LOVE fairy tale retellings. Honestly, I'm a sucker for Beauty and the Beast historical romance retellings. I've been meaning to get my hands on more but I haven't found the time to pick them up yet. My favorite would absolutely have to be a Rose in Winter by Kathleen Woodiwiss.

A romance novel definitely has saved my day. Sometimes, when I'm just not in a happy mood, I read a romance novel as a pick-me-up.

This is so disappointing to hear! I also would have expected this to be a great contemp that's really rich in detail about the setting, and I'm sorry to hear that it fell short. :/ I will probably be passing on this one. Too many books and not enough time. Thanks for the review.

I love all kinds of romance heroes. I don't have a certain type. Hah! Nowadays, I am less into the broody type, unless they have a legitimate reason to be so broody and dark.

I love the cover of your book Lila! That red dress is GORGEOUS. And I love fairy tale retellings so I'm really looking forward to picking it up. :)

Oh my gosh! I love Loretta Chase! I can't wait to start reading her new series.

I love reading historical romances because of the dresses. And I also love the different customs that they had in the 19th century. What I don't like about historical romances is that they tend to focus on the white upperclass. Sometimes, I wish that there were more historicals about minority groups!

I prefer movies and mini series to television shows. Despite all the Downton hype, I don't want to watch it until it's complete. That's why I love mini-series. Wait until it's done and watch them straight through.

I will definitely be picking this book up because I do think that it needs more attention than it has gotten so far... It sounds like a spectacular book with a great message but I will keep the pacing in mind.
