My husband (a Marine) is extremely upset about this change. From his perspective, the rolled-sleeves are part of what still sets the Corps apart from the other branches. In general, I don't care either way, but I can certainly see the symbolic meaning my husband is so set on.

I'm a 26-year-old stay-at-home military wife as well. I've been working as a freelance writer & author for over 6 years - I started while I was dating my now-husband. He joined the Marine Corps a year ago & I am overjoyed that I am able to work AND be an active part of his military life at the same time. We plan to have a kid in 2-3 years & that will be an amazing adventure, but so is our life right now :)

Spectacular! I watched this video once before at least a month ago. Yet again, it has brought a smile to my face that I sorely needed :)

Sorry to hear that you've had so many problems with Navy Federal - my husband & I have had nothing but a good experience. All of the positive things you say about USAA apply to us in relation to Navy Federal. Of course, like USAA, they are a large organization & not everyone's experience will be a positive one.

" You might get paid before those dates, particularly if you use a financial institution that pays early. However, be smart and budget so that your can survive until payday comes."

Thank you so much for saying that! There has been so much hullaballo online about banks paying early & how it is going to affect how folks make their budgets. You don't need to change anything! Just assume that, as per usual, you will be paid on the 1st & 15th of each month. If you get the $$ early, that's awesome; if not, you won't run any risk of being behind on your bills.
