Because it is 2010 and people use computers, both students and teachers.

Perhaps teachers could write everything by hand and copy it by ditto machine like it is 1970 but that doesn't seem like a good use of teachers time or government resources.

Your simulation numbers are straight from 538 and Nate Silver has an interesting piece on his front page today: "I would caution that the model has to do a lot of guesswork with respect to three-way races, which haven’t been common in the past, and so its results probably need to be approached more skeptically than usual."

Right now it's LePage's race to lose with Cutler in striking distance. It will be interesting to see who pulls ahead. Interesting that LePage was in a very similar place as Cutler is now days before the Republican primary...

I have voted Democrat in every election since I was 18. It was the negative ads and misquotes from the Democratic party that drove me away from Mitchell to Cutler.
