That's exactly what I was referring to, the "something similar" being the other time-based blob (the APTicket signed data), thank you.

So even if you have the 5.1.1 and below blobs, you can't downgrade once the 5.1.1. apple official window closes? I don't get it, if you've already got _all_ the blobs, it should work, right?

Also, wasn't there a different file (not the shsh blob but something similar) that new devices needed which couldn't be backed up? Is that the reason that you can't downgrade now that 6.0 is out (and once 5.1.1 fully goes away)?

I worked at Circuit City and was told to keep an eye out for people checking prices on our products as they could be from other stores doing matching, and that they were to be removed from the premises. I would assume that by saying "Hey, look for people using their phones on Dec 10" to stores means "Kick out some potential customers who happen to be shopping around because _some_ of them may be undermining you" to retailers.

tl;dr this is going to get retailers to kick out anyone who might do this.

You weren't lightning fast. Amazon is one of the top sites on the internet, if they put the woot on the front page it would sell out in minutes daily.

This is a mac oriented website, and macs only have Thunderbolt, not USB 3.0. Intel's talking about including USB3.0 on the next chipset next year, so maybe then. And it'll probably be cheaper by then.

I've had one since shortly after launch and in my experience, it gets rainbow-y if you didn't clean it well enough, but you won't find out for a week.

Wish you'd run deshaker on the video, it's breaking my eyes.

My girlfriend has it and loves it, she finds it very convenient. Apparently according to the latimes it's mainly 60+ year olds being tested and they all hate it because they don't tweet (but they do post a ton of useless status updates, I'm sure, that have less content than the average tweet) and hate change.

Many laughs were had.

It'd be nice if it could support OTPs, perhaps linked to the cash register system so when you buy a product you get a key to the network.

Also, there's a hotel in Chicago (it's at 1 upper wacker, forgot which hotel tho) which has a pay connection that is open, but once you pay (through SSL) you somehow get switched over to a WPA2 (I think?) secured connection.

That's confusing but apparently doable.
