Hey Ron! The one that rings with me the most is hurtingpastors.org. I've actually purchased my own domain with the same idea in mind -- http://pastorhelper.net -- because I know firsthand what it is like to be a hurting and burned out pastor. I have a deep passion for other pastors in that situation and am hoping to develop PastorHelper into a place for pastors who need that kind of support. Thanks for sharing this post and list. Look forward to what you have in store. God bless.

Billy Joel's "Keeping the Faith" always resonates with me. Especially this line: "The good old days weren't always good and tomorrow ain't as bad as it seems!" Love it! I even wrote about it here: http://tomjamieson.wordpress.com/2011/01/05/keepi...

Great review. Thanks for providing an unbiased and balanced account. I would suggest you read "The Reagan Diaries." It's a bit long, but it contains Reagan's daily handwritten diaries from when he was in office. God bless.

I have David Platt's Radical, Steven Furtick's Sun Stand Still, and Max Lucado's Out Live Your Life in the queue right now. Just finished John Maxwell's Everyone Communicates, Few Connect, which was incredible. Great post!

Hey Ron! We are definitely pet lovers. We have 5 dogs of varying sizes, ages, and breeds. They are all rescues and are definitely part of the family. Angel, a border collie/shepherd mix, is the oldest and we have had her the longest -- almost 12 years! Sheba is close in age to Angel, and she is a shepherd mix as well. We have a large-breed beagle named Joe (after Snoopy's alter-ego, Joe Cool) -- he's the only male in the pack. The other two are hound/ridgeback mixes from the same litter -- two females named Rascal (and she is one) and Dolce (pronounced DOLE-chay and is loosely translated "sweet" from Latin). They are mostly inside dogs and we couldn't imagine life without them.

Hey Maurilio! I have to agree with you. One of the first things I did when I started at my current church was remove all the signs that said "No Food or Drink." Like you, I think it makes a difference. I also started a "fellowship time" with free coffee and donuts on Sunday mornings and most people really like it. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Lindsey! I know it's a little old skool as far as Christian Christmas music is concerned, but for me, 4Him's "White Christmas" is must listen. In fact their entire Christmas album is awesome!

Hey Maurilio. Great post! Not only am I the senior pastor at my church, but I also teach the Gen Y Sunday School class. It's a tough crowd, for sure, but the one thing I have found above all else is right in line with your point #3. With Gen Y, being real and geunine far outways everything else. Unlike many other generations before them, Gen Y is able to see you for what you really are, so they appreciate openness and honesty more than other generations as well. Thanks for sharing!
