Majora's Mask 3D and New 3DS have certainly given Nintendo the best looking Q1 they've had in a while.

I don't think any stores have a respectable amount of stock at the moment. We just have to cross our fingers and hope that Nintendo will eventually get around to restocking the the rarer figures.

I have yet to play the demo (cursed college) but judging by what others say, it looks like it'll be a blast. Yoshi's New Island didn't knock it out of the park with its reviews but I still enjoyed so I think I'll continue to go with my gut. Also, 72% really isn't that bad of a score, especially for a new IP that isn't gritty or realistic.

Hopefully this will dissuade other publishers from trying the same thing. I got nothing against DLC itself, but when all of a game's DLC together costs more than DOUBLE the game itself at LAUNCH....there's a problem.

I understand. People are more sensitive than they like to lead on and I bet downvotes hurt a lot of peoples feelings. But at the same time, I don't want to people to just slam the keyboard on a knee jerk reaction. When I look at a lot of comments that get downvoted to infinity and beyond and compare them to similarly aligned ones that don't get much if any downvotes, I get the idea that in many cases, it has less to do with the comment and more to do with the WAY it was written. I feel that if a comment is appropriate and made respectfully with good justification, the worse that could happen is that you'll get an argument. I feel many comments could have avoided downvote infinite if the writers thought about how other people feel first. If you aren't 100% POSITIVE that almost everyone will agree with a burning passion, then don't make your comment extreme. If you aren't into an upcoming game, say you're not, maybe explain yourself appropriately, and leave it there. Don't jumpstart people into rage mode by then stating that the game will be a surefire flop and that anyone who plays it has an IQ of 0 unless there's VERY good justification to feel so.

I like the point system not so much because it keeps people from disagreeing, but more so that they do it in a non-cancer inducing manner. IMO, a lack of a point system could potentially give certain folk less incentive to think carefully about what they say. A discussion and flame war are too very different things and the latter normally only happens because someone or some people decided to be a huge cynic when they didn't have to. But I perfectly respect your thoughts.

Also not everyone who visits this site has an account and they should get a chance to express their feelings on matters. Plus upvotes can give members an idea of how to boost their presence while downvotes can help lurkers realize that an opinion is not unanimous and it gives people who haven't commented on a thread an idea of what types of comments to avoid if they don't want to get roped in an argument or piss people off.

I personally have gotten used to intensedebates but disquis wouldn't be too bad either. But whatever Francis does, he should not get rid of the point system. I feel that the point system gives people more reason to think before they post if they seek respect from others.
