I LOVE Robert Morgan's novels. I've read This Rock, Gap Creek, and The Truest Pleasure. He was a guest lecturer in an Appalachian Lit class at NGU last spring. It was such a treat to hear him talk about growing up in this area.

I like the idea of a turquoise streak tucked away in my hair--but I haven't gotten brave enough to do it yet!

Haha--sounds exactly like my day--every day. (Except I get to corral a mix of kindergarteners and first-graders for seven and a half hours each day.) You survived! Congratulations. :)

1. The phone's name is King Solomon, right?

2. As I read through this post and came to the part about Pinterest, I found myself scrolling the mouse to click the link. I thought, "Ohh..I haven't been to the site in a while" (meaning about a week). But I caught myself mid-scroll--because Pinterest is a dangerous place to head when one does not have time to spare. So, thanks--but no thanks-- for the temptation. :)

3. As always, I love reading your thoughts.

Well. I got excited to see that Berg had given a review of this book. (It's on my list to check out as a possible read-aloud for my K5/1st grade class.) I guess he was just preoccupied with his wee sibling--or his own Ribsy--and he couldn't be bothered by a book review. Piper's attempt was hilarious, though. So, what does mom think about Henry?

Bird By Bird has long been on my to-read list. Perhaps I should move it to the top of that list...

One of my (many) LUL shirts accompanied me to the Mark Twain house in Hartford, CT.

I adore Connemara, too. I really should visit more often. It's such a serene place.

I LOVE Fox's expression in the picture of him feeding the goats. So cute!
