And they say Northern Europe is frightening, eh? I think US conquers it all. Although no matter in which part of the world you step in, forests and old buildings will always get you into panic. As for the Catacombs, I don't know much about it, but I've seen the movie which, despite its low score on imdb, has actually scared me well.
