Seriously ya'll --- This type of incident is just one of many reasons why I homeschool my kids. All three of mine are on the spectrum. No one in this world knows more about how to handle them than I do. No one else can understand the subtleties of a certain laugh that means an outburst is imminent and provides me time to pull that child out of a situation before the outburst occurs. No one else will ever love these children the way their father & I do. It takes patience and time to learn the unique learning styles of each child - to be able to reach them with information in a manner they understand. The one-on-one tutoring is exactly what the diagnosing psychologist recommended.
And before anyone starts question their social skills & academics -- All three of my kids have passed the required yearly Standardized test for this school year. All three are working at or above grade level. They have or are learning vital life skills that many kids with similar issues never learn, certainly not from a school - like cooking, cleaning, maintaining a home, laundry, etc. All the things they will need to survive & thrive on their own. And, before anyone springs the "socialization question", all three have friends that come over to play several times a week, public schooled kids even. They will talk to people we meet in our daily lives with very little trouble, and often question everything. All of this - because we work with them daily, 24/7/365. It can be done.
Anyone can homeschool. Anyone.
5 weeks ago @ WAVY.com - Va. Gov. proposes toll... · 0 replies · +2 points
Instead of tolls, try cutting the tax rates. Less taxes will bring more people here to live, vice folks who live across the border in NC because it's cheaper.
Lower property taxes would bring more people to live in VA for the same reason.
Lower sales taxes will mean a dollar will be able to buy more here, meaning more people could afford to spend the money in our state.
Also, reduce the business tax, and the costs invovled in doing business in VA -- the will bring more businesses here, which means more jobs, which means more taxpayers, which means more tax revenue, not less.
It's Econ 101 people.

And yes - there is evidence that certain effects from vaccines can be passed down through generations - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1379228...
Since that's proven true, where the studies on the effects of vaccines on successive generations & possible genetic issue as a result?
I'm not anti-vax. All of my kids are current on their shots. I do believe that the current regiment is way too many shots way too early in life, as well as too many combinations of shots at one time.

I'd love to know how I'm wrong on this -- read the bill here and quote to me how I'm wrong. http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?121+f...
I bet you can't.
