Great interview. I love seeing good dads setting good examples... people need to be reminded that such a species exists :)

Several years after my parents divorced, my dad moved in next door. By that time, I was already out of the house, but it was really nice for my sister (then a teenager). She stopped the official "visitation schedule" and instead hung out with him on a regular basis whenever they were both home. If she wanted, she could just sit and watch TV with him for an hour on a weeknight. In that scenario, it was great.

In my current situation, I wouldn't want to live so close to my ex-husband. We don't have kids, so it's not something I'd need to seriously consider. Right now there's a river between us and that arrangement works for me. There's no animosity between us. I just don't want him to be able to see so much of my life.
