Hah. If it makes you feel better, I just wrote about what a jerk Angus is sometimes. I totally should have come here and read first! I got a lot of blog-reading to catch up on...

Just have to say my father chose a similar fate. Once was brilliant, successful, etc... then my mom divorced him and he never recovered and his drinking spiraled out of control.

Looking forward to hearing more.

I'm dyingggg of curiosity now! Way to leave us hanging!

But in all seriousness, I hope you're doing okay. Take as much time as you need!

I love that shot of Frances... she has a very intense stare. Shes so young but looks so wise... I like that contradiction.

I suggest trying more self portraits too, though! One reason I love the photos people take of themselves is because it kind of gives us a glimpse into their own mind -- it's like seeing how they see themselves. Does that make sense?

Kananaskis country is stunning! You had perfect weather too... the last little tease of warmth before winter I think! Are you planning any winter sports with Frances? I've trying to think of creative ways to go snowboarding with Angus...

Mooses are badass! I would never want to stumble upon a moose, they're mean!

I didn't like my comment either. Glad you took it down ;)

Must have been one of those days, hehe. My horoscope for yesterday actually said something along the lines of "Taurus -- today you should just keep your mouth shut."

All I can say is I would KILL to have that responsibility streak that you have had since you were 16!! Ten years later and I am just NOW learning about credit and all that crap... after I have totally screwed my credit so bad I can't even get a credit card and considering bankruptcy for my student loans. I wish I had had someone to teach me these things when I was younger (my mother never had a clue either!)
I don't mean to sound bitchy -- just that I am so envious of people like you who seem to have it together. I can't tell you how frustrating it is not having ANY credit! I would kill to have a mortgage that would be paid off in a couple years ;)

But -- maybe even being financially responsible doesn't necessarily mean you feel like a 'grownup...'

I don't think I'll ever feel like I've reached adulthood!

What a sweetie! (Your husband.)

I think it's a great investment. I know what you mean -- I sometimes even have a hard time parting with money to buy FOOD, which is totally ridiculous.

I just had an interview with a dayhome lady who serves the kids healthy, homemade food, AND doesn't have TV.

So, it's out there! Keep faith. Keep looking, I'm sure you'll find something better suited to your lifestyle :)
