I am deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Hillyer's passing. I first met him when I worked for his law firm as a file clerk in the summer of 1982. He was an extremely nice gentleman. I later crossed paths with him many years later via the late Ed Butler and again found Mr. Hillyer to be a great southern gentleman. He will be missed. My sympathy goes out to his sons, Haywood IV and Quin, good guys both.
