Thank you, Laura. We need more people like you to extend the invitation.

Hi, I'm the gal who wrote the guest post, and Kristen shared it because she's my friend and she believes in the message-- I won't speak for her beyond that. I will say, I don't know Glennon at all. This story is about a friend of mine who stood up for me and people like me-- and she is a true Christian.

You are so welcome, Emily. There are truly Christlike people out there-- some of them are even Christians. ;)

You know, I think that's it-- the way the big table gets opened to everyone is the little tables go first. Open yours. Then your friend opens his. His sister opens hers. On and on for iterations, and before you know it, we're all gathered together.

That's exactly what I had to do to get to a place of peace with myself and God. The other conversations all became too dangerous for my heart. I know it sounds wacky, but an inner conversation I had with Jesus was finally the thing that let me say to myself, "Ok, I'm gay. And I'm still a Christian. Here we go!"
