Came over here from Carla's blog and I am loving what I am reading so far! My favourite are the tote bags that she is making now...they are just awesome.
It is a beautiful dress and it really isn't a huge amount to spend on a wedding dress. My dress, when I was married 13 years ago, was about $575...the second dress I had to buy (long story, but I lost my first dress) was also about the same (thanks to now ex-husband's granny).
I agree with Elsa above, it is timeless and classic and you won't regret your purchase!!
I think it's a terrific exercise to go through, and to be honest, with a little legwork, very do-able! We have a family of 10 and a dog. Our grocery budget for us is $300 per week, $1200 per month (based on 4 weeks/month), so that's about $120 per person. We could do better, we know it, but we do buy a few little luxuries. Dog food and diapers and toiletries are included in that $300 a week.
Good luck, can't wait to read more about it!
Sounds like you're doing well, congrats. I agree with FMWay, it's great your dietitian is working so well with you...small changes usually end up with better results than drastic ones.____I am on my own weight loss journey (through Weight Watchers)...I don't fear losing my boobs, I pray that I will lose a cup size or two, LOL! ____Keep on keeping on, the little changes here and there in my body are what's keeping me going. Celebrate all of them...good luck!
I think it's a great decision...I had braces put on my teeth at 19 while I was still covered under my father's plan. It still cost him a pretty penny. It was worth every cent, I had terrible buck teeth!
For what it's worth, the majority of plans I have seen only cover dependent children for orthodontics, not adults (I work for a benefit management company).
That's awesome...my son needs orthotics about every 12 to 18 months (he has bilateral pronation-aka flat feet and walks on his tip toes, typical of autism) basically because he's a growing boy. My plan only covers them once every 3 years as they base it on adults I had to fork out the $450 last time and I talked to my plan administrator and they are going to take up the issue when they renegiotiate.
So sorry to hear about Tigger...he sounds like a great companion and you have wonderful memories. May he be having lots of fun at the Rainbow Bridge..
I work in insurance, and yes, there are a number of plans out there that will not pay for birth control. Thank goodness I have never been employed where the plan doesn't cover it. I don't know the rationale for it though. I see plans that pay for Viagra and Cialis but don't pay for BC!! How does that make sense?
Pear's right, Toronto is great in August!
Congratulations...that's awesome. The extended benefits way make up for the small decrease in salary, in my humble opinion, as does the extra week of holidays.
