well after waiting 4 24h & reinstalling viber still no luck : no sms received & no call either when clicking the 'no code?' button !
i'm in france & my network operator is sfr ...
awaiting a solution; thanx

yes but how shall i receive a sms if i use my landline number ?
not only i'm not getting the sms but i'm not getting any call either !
just tried once again but now looks like there's a problem on viber's side since this is the message i get : "An error has occurred during the Viber activation process. Make sure you entered the correct Phone number. To enter a new number click here."
will do as u say & remove viber before trying installing again tomorrow ...

that's exactly what i meant, if i register my ipad w/ some other number (belonging 2 a friend etc) i would then need 2 give that number 2 my contacts who obviously don't have it since it's not my number if i want them 2 b able 2 call me ...
regarding my ipad having its own sim card that's what i'm telling u, when i register the ipad & type my genuine cellular number i don't receive any sms & if i click on the "no code?" button i don't get any call either !!! did the operation several times w/ same negative effect ... any idea why ?

stating that "Only 1 Viber number can be assigned to 1 device. In order to use Viber on both, you'll have to register your iPad with some other number (a friend's number, family's, an old cell phone, etc.)" i guess this means that in order 2 receive calls on my 2nd device (in the present case an ipad wifi 3g 64gb) i would then need 2 communicate the number of the other device used 4 the activation 2 my contacts & not the actual number of my ipad correct ?
on the other hand when i click on the function 2 receive a call w/ the activation code from my ipad i don't get any call : is that normal ?
