I know this doesn't answer your question about what activities I do, BUT... I think you would really enjoy the book "The Wednesday Letters" by Jason F. Wright.

A couple of my favorites are "The Thorn Birds" by Colleen McCullough and "Down Where My Love Lives" by Charles Martin. "The Thorn Birds" is a must-read epic novel spanning several generations of a family in Australia. It is so very well written, and it is so compelling you won't want to put it down! "Down Where My Love Lives" is a beautifully heartbreaking novel that will move you like you wouldn't expect. Although heartbreaking, it allows you to get wrapped up into the story and experience the emotion of the main characters like no other book I've read.

I hope you enjoy these!

Of course! I was just trying to confirm what you said. My blog makes me think, too. I don't specifically set out to do things so I can blog about them, but I am forced to think more deeply about them upon reflection. It's a good exercise - it's like well-presented journaling.

Don't get so caught up in trying to be someone YOU think is more interesting to us, the readers. Be yourselves. We'll read.

Okay, bear with me... this really is a compliment even though it is masquerading as rude realization....

I'm so glad you guys aren't perfect. I think for so long I have placed you two up on a pedestal because you guys seem to do everything perfectly with minimal flaw. These types of posts (where you show your vulnerability as a couple) are my favorite, though. It makes marriage real and no longer gives me this false sense of "everything is perfect when you're married". Yeah, yeah, I knew deep down that it wasn't, but I didn't really believe it until you both started opening your hearts to show us the sometimes nitty gritty side of marriage. I think my favorite non-crafties post to date is the Dirty Laundry post. It is refreshing to see that marriage isn't perfect 100% of the time, and I am so very thankful that you guys are sharing your story. Thank you for being vulnerable and real instead of fake and all sunshine and smiles in every post. God is working through you two and your blog to help me (and many others) grow! I love you guys, and I sincerely hope you found the enormous compliment in all of this!!

I always have liked the idea of using embroidery hoops as frames and sewing or embroidering your own art! I also like this: http://theprettypoppy1.blogspot.com/2010/07/prett...
