My condolences.

I strongly disagreed with what he did, and clashed with him over it, but he seemed a genuinely likable guy.

I never liked what he did, and clashed with him on Twitter a couple of times, but I was honestly sorry to hear the news today. He seemed like a genuinely likable guy, and was certainly entertaining to follow before he blocked me (not sure why... I didn't think it was that serious a dispute).

My condolences go out to his friends and family.

Sounds like he's one of those particularly annoying types of trolls that believe their own B.S. A troll is a troll, though.

As the DNC has demonstrated here, it's not hard to take words out of context and spin them to mean something unintended.

Anyone who takes edited clips from a partisan organization at face value is an easily-manipulated sucker.

CNN's role in setting up the debate is irrelevant. Some of the questions were clearly ridiculous, but that's just their attempt to gain viewers by using social media, not partisan work. Google "hostile media effect" for why some believe CNN is on one side or another.

Thanks for helping me make my point, troll. Bye.

Probably, though it sounds like there was more to the conversation that was cut off rather abruptly.

West coast doesn't have any major centers for Jewish communities that I know of. They tend to just mingle with the population and drop the specialized slang.

If it uses insults like a troll, fails to explain its viewpoints like a troll, and espouses viewpoints that border on crazy like a troll, my conclusion is that it's probably a troll.

Got any particular reasoning, or is that it?

Had to google "Goy" to know WTH you were talking about. Not sure how that has anything to do with it, so I'm guessing you're a troll.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groupthink for what she was referring to. She's pretty off on her representation, though, as ethnicity and/or gender differences aren't a guarantee that the person won't have the same views as the rest of the group. However, there is value in making sure that not all decision-makers have the same background (I'm referring to broader things like upbringing and culture, not gender/ethnicity).
