All this back and forth about the meaning of feminism is counterproductive -- too much information is missing. The truth about feminism and its role in our lives will be exposed in just a few short months.

I have just read everything posted on this subject in the past few days. For those who are following this debate, I highly suggest reading my book when it comes out in March. The fallout of feminism is too big of an issue to be addressed in a blog post.

If you think like Diane (great post, by the way), you will love the book. If you think like Holly, you will resist it. The whole point of the book is to challenge what people have been taught to think about feminism and demonstrate how harmful it has been.

And yes, Holly, I do think feminist is a bad word -- sorry to disappoint. I have no desire to take sides in the "Am I a liberal feminist or a conservative feminist?" debate. I personally think that's a futile discussion, though I respect NewsReal's choice to have it.

"She was speaking about the lefts attacks on her about being able to be a good mother and be a VP simultanously."

"You don't remember the lefties questioning whether she could be the Mom of five and Vice President?"

Re the comments above: Yes, I'm aware she was referring to that charge by the left. But these comments were made by WOMEN on the left. It was feminists, not Neanderthals, who leveled those charges -- which of course is total hypocrisy on their part, but that's the irony of Palin's claim. Feminists needed something to "get" Palin, yes; but my point is that the Neanderthals argument is bogus and makes Palin a typical feminist for making such a claim.

Re Todd: That's actually one of the reasons I've remained silent about Palin. I assumed her husband was at home, and it's really not my business anyway. But in light of this very telling remark on her part, I decided to speak up.

Shevrae,

You have nothing to feel guilty about! God bless all you do. This post was meant as a general guideline about television use. Max and Ruby is great, as is lots of other TV for tots. You just have to be selective and use common sense -- that was my main point.

Cheers.

MollyBrazen -- All true. But, again, it is feminists who are behind this government intrusion of marriage. The marriage laws changed to become anti-family because the female left demanded it.

Rochmoninoff:

I couldn't agree more about your observation about free sex for men. BUT, this phenomenon is indeed a direct result of feminism, as I explain in great detail in my forthcoming book. So in the end it still comes back to this disastrous social movement.

And yes, the "behaviors" were already on their way 30 years ago. That's when feminism took off.

Walter -- I could have written this exact same thing -- about a friend who thinks she's liberal and almost all my in-laws. Exact same issue with the exact same people. It's so frustrating. I say nothing bc I feel like there's no point,
