Like the above person said, Wii U's been on the market much longer and better have the higher install base. Sony will pass them by the end of Q2 at the LATEST. MS will pass them by the end of the year. Wii U sales are now going back down after that holiday surge. Not looking too good.

Iwata should step down... Seriously they cut their forecasts for nearly everything, hardware and software. Nintendo can no longer rely on the 3DS to keep them profitable. Nintendo executives are too stuck in the past and are unwilling to move forward. Times have changed and Nintendo needs to move past Iwata. Do you not understand overhead? Nintendo doesn't have that luxury to fall back on like Sony and MS. PS4 is doing extremely well right now, but will Nintendo 3DS sales are not enough. Cut the excuses and stop defending this.

And LOL at some of this MS talk, have any of you looked at their last financial report? By the end of the month they are posting another quarter, I look forward to seeing you not post it.

Well, they had to lower their sales forecasts considerably despite X and Y, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion and ton of other games. I doubt we're going to see a better year for 3DS in the games department. And if you look at sales in the US, they don't look like they will go past their 1st year. The DS has a feat that will never be replicated in the handheld market, tablet and mobile have shrunk this market considerably. Right now they are more than 10 million plus units sold behind the DS. I'm thinking 85 million lifetime.

How do you seriously go from 55 billion yen profit to 25 billion yen loss...
Either they're over promising, or suck at making predictions. Something needs to happen, 3DS has peaked in sales, and they can no longer rely on them; their console has to pull its own weight too.

I realize what I said is going to garner tons of hate and backlash...

Edit: Also, 9 million to 2.8 Wii U sales... Wow.

Funny, how you tell me this isn't the place for this kind of news, but I've seen a lot of other posters do the same for positive news (myself included) and you never told me otherwise...
