I understand and am sympathetic toward what you are doing, but I still wonder how those global issues shape and give perspective on how we are doing things locally. Does the global perspective on this issue show us that we are, in fact, being myopic? In wonder if what they have to teach us is that we are wrong about our vision? Plus, if we're truly going to live for God's mission in the WORLD, then shouldn't our imaginations about the vision for church (even locally) be colored by the global situation?
Thanks man
I wonder if Yoder's vision is most appropriate for the future of Christianity globally - in the Majority World - where Christendom is in full force and growing along that trajectory. How are we serving what is happening where Christianity is growing most exponentially when our vision is overwhelming dictated by the context where it is not?
