Title is a little misleading. She made a gaffe, for sure, but she essentially wanted to portray him as an underdog.

"In this I agree as well. It's not good to see such liberal in-fighting so close to the mid-terms."
The problem with this logic is that it puts the party's needs ahead of the people's. It's not in the the most liberal of Democrats' interest to quiet down and support the administration now, because it's not in their best interest to keep them in power.
