Finally a photo! And from a reputable organization. MSNBC. It's of his face shot out. The editors point out that it's not at all real, but would would like to warn all you people grossed out by completely fake pictures that you may find it disturbing.

What's disturbing is that photoshop attempt. Ghastly.

In unrelated news, odds for an Obama 2012 re-elect jumped over ten points overnight.

The study I'd like to see is the one counting how many of the activists-bloggers even read. That is, books. Not other blog posts, not online news, not tweets -- but real intellectual work: history, political theory, communiques from other revolutionary movements worldwide. If they're like the majority of activists in the US who don't, then their literacy is for naught. And this whole conversation may be moot.

You miss the point. It's not compassion with thugs -- fuck the thugs. The problem is the insults that were being lobbed at them are degrading to people (many of them revolutionaries on the frontline) who are in fact dirty and in fact uneducated -- none of which are traits that make them any less human or any less worthy of full on dignity. On the contrary, they're the wretched of the earth that real revolutions are made of. The rest of us could use quite a bit of humbling and it would serve us, the overly formally educated in my opinion, to listen for once to what it is that they have to say, to what it is that they dream about, to what decisions before, during, and after the revolt they think we should take. Anything less would not be revolution, it would be reform.

Hi Steve. I'd like to know more about your understanding of the left. I include socialists in my definition.

Lack of reasoning skills and two-dimensional thinking. Sounds like my third grade report card about my maths, I'll admit.

I'm trying to understand your question. I'm confused by the"us" when you say "the same standard apply to us". Who is us? What are you talking about. Should I think about your question overnight and re-read it before it begins to make sense?

LOL.. my bad. I had Huffington Post on my mind more than these particular pics. They had big images of people wearing orange t-shits that said "Fighting for Working Families" and something small I couldn't read. I'd be down revolting with a Wisconsin badger-red shirt. Mainly because of the red part.
