Well, I write laying on my bed in silence too. When I hit a road block I turn on the music and then turn it back off. LOL, I have a husband too!! My ex-boyfriend gave it to me! I had it since college and it's still in great shape! I love my husband and its the best support ever for my back and when I'm writing!!
