I made the switch a few months back -- the longer you wait the harder it is. I love it now though. I am self-hosted though, it makes all the difference. I wouldn't recommend wordpress.com

Yes, the crossed out GFC it's great -- and get's the point of cross, which of course is why I'm coveting it. And we were talking about your banners on twitter - so I might have driven a few interested parties your way also, LOL -- because everyone was loving them. I can understand the not enough time situation.

That is very interesting idea you did with GFC - I found the LInky Followers just recently, but would you mind if I did something similar with GFC also on my blog? Wouldn't want to nab your idea. Also your book banners are so original, it's what led me here. A Google Trail -- ;)

I used to love love love the Babysitters club. I think it was one summer while my little brothers were in swim lessons, so I was probably around 8 - I devoured as many as I could get from the library and Nancy Drew books while I waited for them to get out of swim lessons. This is a great idea Emily. Some of the best ppl I know from online are indie authors. Everyone needs a break...and I actually feel that self-pubs are getting better, they have freelance editors available to them now and people that will set-up their book in nice formats, etc. An indie author if they have the will can utilize everything a big pub house has.
