The links between biofuels, carbon sinks one the one hand, and land deals and acquisitions on the other hand are critical: they are dispossessing local women and women in communities in Sub-Saharan Africa of their land and livelihoods. As you mention your article above, this also involves elite capture. Urgent research and action is needed.
