Edit: I just attempted it and you cannot even vote more than once per comment, so it literally could not be me.

And on springs, you also instantly go into them now. Before you had to jump on them.

Erk, even when defending the game I ended up pointing out new flaws.

And I never voted on every comment. When I looked online today others had done it without my input.

Assuming this is actually you.
My point on Tails was that he is just a background character. Sure, maybe he is in every background in the game, I do not know. But my main interest is in the game itself. The appeal of Tails being in the games could best be related to Sonic 3/K where you could play as him, do co-op (such as lift Sonic and play with a friend; we even have online consoles now, what a waste), have 2 player races, have unique moves, explore the zones for different flight routes, and so on. You could also see this in Sonic Chaos, Triple Trouble, and Sonic 2 - in reference to the older games. Sonic Generations does not have any of this, so it ruins the appeal for me. If I wanted to just stare at Tails I would buy Archie comics or start demanding a Sonic film/cartoon series. But my interest here is in a video game. I am happy they went back to the classic design, but that is not much for a 20th anniversary game that is supposed to celebrate classic and modern Sonic equally. It is more of a killjoy if anything, and it empties any faith I had left in Sonic Team ever caring about their long-time fans.
As for the rolling, I actually fully understand what you mean. The issue here is that the game is designed around bad physics. I just cannot take excuses like 'Oh, it's too late to change it' when I know the game has been in development for years. Yes there was time to make it good and Sonic Team never did it since they either do not care or are incapable of making good gameplay. They saw what DIMPS and whomever did to Sonic 4, they could have started redesigning all the levels then last June, OVER a year ago.
Furthermore, I do not like the concept that the whole game is for speed running. The classic games were not like this (Marble Zone, Spring Yard, Scrap Brain, Labyrinth... and I could keep going, this is just one game here). They were more about exploring the zones with vast and creative design. Now it just seems like moving right and doing quick-time jumps in order to get the fastest time. I can see how some people enjoy this, but not me. The original games were not like this, so that is why I find it hard to accept the excuses I am seeing, especially when I saw very similar statements made about Sonic 4.
And lastly on the liar comments: I mean what you stated is not true. My first line was supposed to be sarcasm, but I guess sarcasm is harder to judge online, in addition to people probably seeming angrier than they really are (I am not angry at all, just irritated at Sonic Team's designers/programmers). I also wrote it quickly and never even thought about it much. And yes I do appreciate the response and how you try to improve the games, my issue is with who is above you.
