Where does Romine come into play here? No one's interested in him, curious that he's even being mentioned in discussions like these.

Also, I completely agree with Cashman's stance on Judge and Severino. They are untouchable and should remain that way. It's highly likely that both of them will play a large role with the big club next season and for years to come.

Mason Williams has really looked over matched in Trenton. His defense has been spectacular, but he's struck out a bunch and just does not look ready for AA. I think it was a hasty move calling him up this year after Austin and Heathcott went down. Hopefully this doesn't have a long-term impact on his confidence.

So far, I haven't been overly impressed with Sanchez, but he has shown good signs. He still has a lot of work to do on defense, regardless of what has been said. The amount of balls he's let by him and foul tips he hasn't held on to are just unacceptable. He has shown a very solid arm and ability to read situations very well though.

On the bright side, Venditte has looked very good for the Thunder. He throws a little harder right handed, but throws really good sliders from both sides and has been impressive in big situations. He looks like he may be able to defy the odds and contribute at the big league level someday.

I think that Danny Burawa could be close to contributing in the bullpen at some point. Then again, with all the righty relievers in the organization he could end up spending all of next season in AAA.

I could see Matt Diaz being a nice fit. Good role player, can play decent outfield in the corners, hits for average, and seems like a good clubhouse guy.

Couldn't agree more. Declining power, shitty glove, strikes out a ton, doesn't even have decent speed anymore. This dude's washed up. Stay far away from him.
