That "small minority of Jews" may be only 2.1% of Americans, but they've managed to have a huge influence on politicians in both parties for decades. Anyone who knows much about the politics of AIPAC and how they impact every elected politician, knows your mocking trivialization for the disingenuous lie that it is, Mr. Dunetz. As a conservative who knows that Rosenberg is telling the truth about AIPAC's influence on our political landscape, I can only feel sympathy for anyone who naively believes your misrepresentations here. The truth is, AIPAC has an insidious, pernicious effect on the policies of this government, and previous governments, for the past 60 years. Whether or not one loves Israel is not the issue; the real question is: Should Americans be held hostage by a foreign entity to policies that serve another country's interests above our own? That has been AIPAC's role; every politician knows it; none admits it publicly. It's not about liberal v. conservative; it's about letting foreign agents of another country establish a foothold in this country so pervasive that no politician dare to speak its name. Your mockery is really nothing more than the old canard of "self-hating jew," an anti-semitism of its own particular ugliness.

Bill Kristol is a complete hypocrite, as is Joe Scarborough and David Brooks. And, as for Joe Klein, well, the ewww factor hits max whenever his face appears on screen. The man is a slimeball, truly.

I agree, Gary_K. They should be fired; just as Reagan fired the Air Traffic Controllers.

Why doesn't he just fire them; they are violating their contract to teach by fraudulently calling in "sick."

Awesome work deconstructing Miller's agenda-driven hackery. And, the analogy about the painter is brilliant. Great reading through the comments here as much as the article. As a former reporter, I know the dirty little secret about journalists and editors; they often have an agenda, agreed upon with their editor in advance of writing the story, and fulfilled during the editing process. But Miller's hackery in this story was above and beyond the call of dirty!

Payback for your adolescent smirking jokes about "tea-baggers" Rachel. You deserve every bit of shame and humiliation you get for that one. And, I guess you're not as SMART as you THINK YOU ARE! That's what happens to ideologues with an agenda; to obsessed ideologues with a "Palin Derangement Syndrome." I know Gov. Palin is getting a good laugh out of your WTF moment.

Obama's WTF moment: "THIS IS OUR "SPUTNIK MOMENT." Our big fake-out; our denouement; our big government, big spending, central planning, TSA loving Marxist Socialist President is so proud of his Potemkin Village! And, the Chinese are sitting around their table saying, "yes, yes, this is a good thing!" Soon, our debt rating will look like Japan's rating, and everyone will point to "Our Sputnik Moment" and say, sure, he was sputnik himself, a big fake.

Thank you for this response. The NYTimes "sympathy" ploy was downright hideous in its hypocrisy! And, to read that The Nation is publishing all those "death threats," made against poor old Frances. Well. Like all cockroaches who like to spread their filth in dark corners, Piven scurries away from the light. So, MORE LIGHT PLEASE on Frances Fox Piven. Keep it up; tell her story; highlight her words, so people can see what she's really up to in those dark corners.

Marisa Katz and Dana Milbank should both be fired from the Washington Post for this public "campaign" against Gov. Palin. It crosses the line on ethical guidelines; but then, they don't really observe ethical guidelines in journalism anymore, do they? It's all about finding ingenious ways to TWITTER their personal opinion. It's really hideous....
