but they compared it to a fresh sl install without applying the updates necessary, iTunes for example is much slower now then before but that has nothing to do with lion but with the wealth of random media type iTunes handles nowadays.

They should have ran all the updates on both machines…

no that's not it, not a third party dev anyways, why would they need to test apple's own software, this is a dev within apple, and I am pretty sure that these updates will not load unless your ip is verified by apple.

I have checked on the latest lion dev build i run on one of my machines and the updates do not show up.

Plus shouldn't iWork update through the app store now a days?

how do you get **prerelease** stuff to show up in your updater? I am assuming you gotta add some repo and vpn into apple's local ip space, no? Anyone who's done this?

but how can you daisy chain if you monitor only has one port? There needs to be an "out" port in your monitor, or the monitor need to be the last in line.

One port on peripheral means dead end.
