I was a part of the demonstration between 8 and 10:30 (when it ultimately dispersed). I can't comment on the smashed window, since all that occurred before I arrived. What I can say is that this article completely misrepresents the protest during the time I was there. First of all, during its peak (about 9), there were well more than 'dozens' of participants -- perhaps 125-175. Second, I sure as hell wasn't 'charging' anyone when I or those near me got pepper-sprayed in the face. We were engaging in a peaceful protest. We were standing still, on a sidewalk, after the cops barricaded the street in front of us. And yes, we were shouting, but that's a far cry from 'charging' or actually physically confronting the police.

Respond to police brutality with a democratic demonstration and what do you get? .... That's right.
