relevant to me anymore is overused in a pop-culture church environment.

i think, as bloggers, it's hard for all of us to want to be relevant to our readers and that we would each foster a community that is generous and gracious, even if we don't all think the same, like you said.

good job today, #52.

love, #53

leigh.

this is amazing.

i'm loving the conversation going on here, too.

i just deleted what is to become part of a post that has been made clear i need to write, and soon. so i'll save that for that.

as to what you're saying here, i couldn't agree with you more. i've had similar thoughts but never the words for what you've said here. every church should get a hold of this message. it's so important.

i'd add that the whole 'soul ties' message tends to be a vague one. maybe it was just me, but it never connected to me when i was young. it was more...i don't know...in high school, it was more confusing than helpful. (confusing's not the right word, but i can't think of a better one right now.)

love this post, my friend.

love you.

i'm in, tam. may take a while to get there, but i have a string of words on my waist (out of respect for my sweet southern mama) as permanent reminders of what i believe...and want to believe in deeper and more.

thanks for initiating this. i hardly followed sara regularly, just from time-to-time, and my heart is so sad i didn't 'spend more time' with her. she is an incredible girl to boot.

hApPy BiRtHdAy, FeLiPe!

had no idea! yay! so glad you were born!

and so love where you are in the process of letting go. it's hard, but the refinement always makes us shinier reflections of himself, doesn't it?

well, now, *that* is truth right there. :)

even as a christian, i have had jobs and been in relationships that i had to squirm my way into. square peg in a round hole.

the ones that have been the most 'god' for me are the ones that i didn't have to fight for...the ones that happened most organically, like bianca said. i am finding, too, that the things that come most naturally to me align with god's will for me...and so they just...seem to happen...

i've just reached that place in my life, cindy, that i'm just done with trying to achieve any notoriety or become a famous...anything. who really cares if it's not really god, you know?

just thoughts.

girl, YES. god promotes, god exalts. anything else is in our own strife, and god doesn't create strife. if god doesn't do it, i don't want it.

thanks for the reminder.

hilarious, jessica. this is my first time at your site (i follow you on the twitter) and i love it.

i'm not a mom but an aunt who lived with her niece the first 18 months of her life and just down the street from her in the latter 20 months.

my sister, a single mom, parents the way that you say, teaching her the whys and hows and how comes, which i really admire. while i've adopted her way (hello, she's the parent, not me) my first tendency is to parent the first way, or the way of 'who is this little tiny cute 3 year old criminal that i love more than life who should know better but doesn't?' duh. she *doesn't* know better. she's three. she's the child.

thanks for the comparison, jessica. and, really, aren't we all wild ponies who just need a little bit of (not spirit) breaking?

fun blog! can't wait to come back!
