Surpised that the Belgariad series by David Eddings is not on the list. Loved them to bits! To the point where I'd re-tell the story...in my own way...to friends on camping trips around the fire :)

A great list and there's some books there that I'll have to try!

The other thing that pisses me off royally is that if it were'nt for the US, then nobody would have been going around saying 'look at my nuclear warheads that I have to fling at everyone'!

AND because of the current scare campaigns against nuclear energy, Australia would be like the next Middle East with our reserves of Uranium ;P

Then again, I'm talking about a country that couldn't even vote in a Prime Minister in the elections 18 days ago!

Overall, an interesting list but it'd be interesting to see what a Pommy or Russian contributor would have to say on the subject of great US Preisdents :)

You want to talk about time wasters? If you're a gamer and have been for the last 15 years, then add up all te MONTHS wasted while waiting for games to load! I worked as a games journalist and for PlayStation for 15 years and worked out I've wasted about 13 months on 'loading' screens.

I'm a spirits and beer drinker....at 36, I still can't tell the differences in wines...BUT, what a great link you posted! I was glued to my chair. It read like a Deaver, Brown or even a Rowling tale of conspiracy and intrigue!!

Yep, great list. But bugger me, I HAD to look up the Prince Harry being Prince Henry thing...apart from that, I'm really annoyed with Listverse's site as when I try to scroll...or type, it keeps freezing on me. Come on Jamie, surely you can fix this annoying ad serving issue. Otherwise, I'm outta here!
