I'm the colorist on the main comic series! Sweetie Belle is also grey, she's just a slightly warmer grey than Rarity. I don't have the official swatches for their dad, but going from screenshots he's a slightly yellow grey.

She is indeed gray! I color her all the time in the comic, and I was given the official pantones for each pony from Hasbro. You don't really notice when you're watching the show.

Don't underestimate young readers! At every single comic signing and con appearance I've had outside of brony specific cons, it's been mostly children that come by to get their comics signed. Kids are definitely reading the comics.

You'd be surprised! Outside of Brony specific cons, most of the people that visit me at cons and comic book signings are young children. I've no doubt bronies buy tons of the comics, but children seem to make up a big portion too from my experience.

Thank you! Yeah, those are the breaks in the industry. Most books still don't even credit the colorists on the covers. (IDW started doing it as of MLP#6 which was very awesome!)
