That would be my Jeep parked at Peggy's place while I was at Gary's from Fri to Weds. Was helping with the whole might have to evacuate thing. We fought off a brush fire the other day. Also got to see everything up close. They are of course friends of mine. She is right about people coming there and disrespecting the area. Now that theres 24 hr patrol it should help with keeping the squatters away. I shot over 1300 photos and several videos. Who knows when I'll get them done.

Never lost power up in Mauka Holualoa. Have real bad smoke up here since late in the afternoon. Definitely fire type and not fireworks. Worse then when we had the big fire last year. Anyone know of a high elevation fire? Its still choking bad this morning.

All of this could have changed in the past several hours as the tilt has dropped sharply. It has bottomed out but, this could stop or change the current flow. The flows at the top of RG could stall from this deflation. Many times sharp deflations can cause tube blockage deep beneath the ground. This diverts the flow when it returns. Interesting to see if it does change anything.

Theres no reason we can't be the example of how a state and our country can be free of the oil glut. It starts with cars. There are alternatives and our infrastructure would be easy to convert. Start with the big island. Fuel cell cars would be nice or 300 mile range electric cars. Tesla motors makes a great car and Toyota recently bought into the company so, maybe affordable cars can now be built. Nothing worse then being stuck in traffic behind some smelly %4# diesel truck.

Fix the pot holes if there are any and leave it be. Its a scenic drive, not a freeway. The $ could be used for better things in the park.
