My bobe used nebekh as a synonym to the kein ayn ro, kinda, not jinx. She used to explain, this was something agaiinst demons, of you say 'poor soul;, demons leave this person.

It is pity, that this sort of justice doesn't include the Holocaust survivors in Israel.
-Most of them live under the poverty line.
-No Israeli bank gave a penny to the Holocaust victims’ successors
-The real estate of the Holocaust’s victims was nationalized and privatized by Israeli elites.
-The artworks of Holocaust’s victims hold by Israeli museums and institution include Yad Vashem and so on.
