Being distracted by fractions of a degree ignores the question of what is the blanket effect of the rising CO2 & other GHGs or the visible and well documented changes in the polar regions and elsewhere. We know how much surplus fossil carbon has been released, we know what effect that will have, we know the planet is being affected by something and there doesn't appear to be any other causes.
