Thanks Michael for true inspiration getting this cable business put to rest once and for all. I read all three articles about your different setups. Very productive site you have there. Keep up the good work.

Hi Justyna,

This is the original but also there is a good cover song to it by Jimmy Cliff that I will add soon. Enjoy!

"To get over bullying, I set the bar higher and higher for myself" - Lizzie Velasquez.

What an incredible and sane approach to madness. If you can't change your world, change yourself and your approach to it. Raise the standards that you expect from yourself and you are better than gold. Lizzie is one of my heroes. Go liz!

Thanks Sue for the beautiful suggestion. She is going to start page 2 very soon. :)

Thanks for the feedback and kind words, Chris. The layout started to shape up but still there is a large room for improvement.

Well, judging a film from its trailer is like reading a book from its cover. If you like thrillers in general, this film won't disappoint. Still, it can offer more than that. Enjoy

Naimy's works are mostly in Arabic, which makes The book of Mirdad's beautiful English writing and wisdom more of an exceptional accomplishment. Though Christian theology and mysticism influence is easily noticed within his work, general mysticism including Sufism can be found also.

Very thoughtful comment, Sue. You made a persuasive argument but let me share my understanding.

As we talked in the last email, we use words and utilize them in different ways mainly based on our experience and values in life. When we exchange words, we actually exchange our perception of what they mean to us not what the actual words mean.

To avoid this trap, I don't try to judge the writer or his words or try to color them with what I “feel” or “perceive” but see if these words can express a "personal experience” that I can attest for it or not.

I'll assume your point is that even little knowledge and effort seeking it is better than blissful ignorance and rotten minds. We should encourage it rather than restrict it or condition it. Sounded noble but the Yiddish proverb “A half-truth is a whole lie” comes to mind here. Someone who doesn't know but know that he doesn't know is in better situation than someone who thinks he knows something but knows nothing indeed.

How many times revolutions, religions, science, and ideas brought us a promise of the "true knowledge"? We believed them and devoted our lives for them, but how many times they took away more than gave? Knowledge is as fire can light our way and warm us but also can burn us to the ground. That didn’t stop us from harnessing the power of fire while being cautious in handling it.

How many times did I fall in that illusion of seeking and acquiring knowledge? More than I can count. What was the cost? Very heavy!

It really matters to me that I must take great care in seeking knowledge. Seeking it lightly, while asleep, or to fill a void is far dangerous than the most daring act. At certain point in my life I understood that learning and knowledge could be as hazardous as complete folly. I approach seeking knowledge now as someone who is trying to walk over a tight rope stretched over Niagara falls not over my apartment floor. Imagine an elephant trying to dance over the tip of a pin and you will get an idea. It is not an impossible task, it just require complete awareness, respect to the act, and confidence in myself to reach certain knowledge that can last more than few years to be challenged later with a new so called "knowledge".

I attest that I went to knowledge in different manners before, and I lived to regret it. These conditions are like a parachute I use while skydiving. Would you rather me doing it a different way? :)

I would love to hear your thoughts always and thanks for the kind words.

Yep! That is so.. You see, I believe this koan just started to get its way to you. :) Serious! Just read your response to my comment and you are not far off.

Very cool suggestions there, Sue. You forgot vaccination too. That was hilariously funny. They qualify you for a "Zen mommy master", which I know personally you are. :)

Well, I wished I could share the meaning but Koans are meant to be gotten (not necessarily loved) on your own. This way they are more fun. Cheer!

Hello Keith,
Yes, I thought the same. Small little world we live in indeed. I enjoyed your post and thanks for linking to it here. It is very good to see how one movie can be used in many ways to enrich our understanding of the world and our fellow mankind as well as making us better communicators as you described in your post.
