Some really great stuff here (including on the other blogs mentioned). As someone who feels called to pastoral ministry particularly in planting missional communities (bi-vocationally) this is a blog that I find myself continually coming back to. I have so many of your posts saved (as well as posts by other planters some of whom interact on this very blog) that I'm about ready to compile and edit a dang resource!

Anyways, one thing I'm somewhat unclear about is, is there a larger denominational context at play here? I mean, when you talk about seeding missional communities and stuff do you have in mind a community that has the prayerful (and some financial support perhaps? But not necessarily) support of a larger fellowship or denomination? Or do you have in mind a rogue community "going at it alone" so to speak? Or both/and?!

Grace and peace.

Great stuff David.

I really like your approach to this issue that I think the church has by-and-large been failing in. It seems that our witness amongst our LGBTQ brothers and sisters has, as you've pointed out, been at one end of the spectrum or the other. All are invited to the banquet and all are transformed.

Great stuff. I've had similar questions myself and one thing that has always lingered in my mind when reading Rollins is "what do you do with the Incarnation?"

On a side note, given that Rollins is from Belfast, Northern Ireland he may be horrified to hear you call him Irish (Northern Ireland is an entirely different country and it's inhabitants usually consider themselves British rather than Irish)!
