Thanks for that.

This is a great perspective. I was raised in that environment. I remember my mom walking around our house with friends casting demons out of the couch while I hid under the table.

Then, the prayer meeting would end, life would go back to normal... and... nothing had changed in our lives. It was a mess, and certainly sent me some pretty messed up pictures of what prayer and shouting at the devil were all about.

Only recently have I really begun to see how effective and real a true prayer life with the Father is.

My point is that, that whole mentality robbed me for a long time of what prayer was actually about and for.

Hope that made sense.

That couldn't be more true.

I was telling another fellow the other day, who wrestles with his thoughts and serious paranoia all the time, that the only difference he and I had was that I'm talking to my best friends every day about the stupid stuff that comes in my brain.

It's not that I don't think all the same thoughts that this guy did... I do, and I do often. It's just that I'm learning to take advantage of the value of friends who can listen and hear out my madness... and then, tell me it's nothing and pick me up. It's great.

We don't have to even be alone in the kingdom. And we don't have to be victim to our messed up minds either.

Their is great freedom among brothers.

Yeah, this stuff, especially from a trusted teacher, helps all of us out tremendously.

I especially was inspired by the ending and the thought of us violently going after God.

I'm posting about that tomorrow...

Thanks friend!

"Christians aren't good people, Christians are sons of the living God."

Well put and eye opening.

It's so easy to get stuck on the 'doing' and not the believing. The believing causes a whole lot of better doing.

Day after day lately I've been seeing the power of His might in everyday life. He answers my prayers every single day! He can overcome anything!

He truly is mighty to save!!!

Yes, thanks. We all need to hear this and learn to walk in it.

It seems to me that it comes down to our willingness and actions when we meet with those of other denominations.

I like the way that you said "... opportunity to trample the lines between organizations."

This is an imperative action. We've got to be looking for more and more ways to preserve that unity of the Spirit with one another, and set aside all the many many things that we divide over and think more important.

So I would say, in answer to your question, Mark, the way Rose Creek is not a denomination is only in as much as we work to trample those lines and extend the right hand of fellowship to everyone who will receive it.

Been answering phones and dealing with customer issues all day. I had a down minute. "Hey," I thought, "It's been a few days since I looked at Shammah's blog. That's always encouraging."

I get half way through and...

***pop***

There goes my brain.
