Are you certain that the title isn't supposed to be "README"? The icon on the cover, as well as the coloring of the letters seems to point to that as the title, but maybe I just took one too many crazy pills today.

Actually, they are limiting high-bandwidth users. And a number of ISPs are testing usage caps as we speak (AT&T concluded a test in Texas last year and may be moving to a capped system in the future). It certainly doesn't bode well if they want to keep advertising the fastest speeds if they're going to cap you after X amount of usage, but it's certainly their right to do so - it's their infrastructure, it's their service.

Some providers like FiOS have, so far, kept the other major providers on notice that they won't be able to pull this crap without being subject to either a PR nightmare or to a series of lawsuits due to false advertising.

Also, as much as it may not please a lot of people, there are other options for people who don't want to shell out for crap service from a major provider. Local guys and national and regional wireless providers have blanketed the country in wireless internet service coverage; whereas ten years ago it was impossible to locate wireless providers in some areas (especially the midwest and southern US), at this point no matter where you go you're covered by something. WildBlue, AT&T (and T-Mobile), Verizon, Sprint, and others provide such services, and while it may be expensive in some areas, it's better than nothing.

Cartoons in the 80s taught us the most important lessons:

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings." --Optimus Prime

"Don't put mustard on the cat." --He-Man (seriously, google that - it's hysterical)

Honestly, every single action cartoon had clear winners and losers - and the bad guys never won, and weren't ever given anything to sympathize with - they were just BAD, end of story. Optimus knew you don't negotiate with Megatron, Hawk knew you didn't negotiate with Cobra Commander or Serpentor, Matt Trakker knew you didn't negotiate with Miles Mayhem, and so on and so on.

No, they whomped them from here to kingdom come in every single episode (and in that last example, M.A.S.K. squandered its own chances at being more than one season long by trying to make their enemies more than thugs, cheats, thieves and liars).

If you've seen "The Dark Knight" or "300", you've seen the stuff people made, faithfully to the originals, based on his works. "Batman Begins" was supposed to be based on his "Batman: Year One" comic series but in the end they only borrowed the Batman origin concept and left out the specifics.

Trust me, this is awesome news.

The police seem to have been very polite and orderly towards the camera crew, and may have simply been trying to defuse the situation by removing the camera crew.

While I totally understand the camera crew's frustration and agree with their complaints against the police, you've got to admit the cops were between a rock and a hard place - remove the peaceful camera crew quickly and sort out the First Amendment issue afterwards or remove the Gatto "staffer" if that is his position, and possibly face a violent confrontation.

That being said, Gatto and his supporters are thugs. There's no other word for their behavior.

Probably overheated servers in NYC office. Temps here have been hovering around 100 all week - moreso in Manhattan since the city acts like a natural oven.

Just a heads-up, Tim... Happy Town was cancelled over a month and a half ago - though, to be honest, it was more because it was impossibly stupid, horribly written and had more holes than the Dems' self-imposed earmark ban than for the conserva-bashing.
